Shannon will apply a close reading to your novel, memoir, short story collection or any kind of cross-genre prose (80,000 words maximum). The package costs $2,900 and includes in-depth feedback, line editing throughout, suggestions for revision, and a one-hour follow-up consultation by phone or skype. 

Books, stories and essays edited by Shannon have won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize and the Mary McCarthy Prize in Fiction, and have been accepted for publication by dozens of fine literary magazines. She has taught creative writing at universities in the U.S. and Europe, including in the MFA program at Bennington College.

Shannon's writing has been recognized with the Drue Heinz Literature Prize, the O. Henry Prize, two Pushcart Prizes, a fellowship from the US National Endowment for the Arts, and the "skills and talents" permanent resident status by the Republic of France.  She is the former executive director and fiction editor of Kore Press, an independent publisher of literature by women. Her MFA is from Warren Wilson.
